Barec Group
The Barec Group was founded by the Balmelli family in 1953. From the very beginning, the company with its headquarters in Ecublens/Lausanne, has concentrated on the core business of recycling. Following a cautious expansion phase with the establishment of nine industrial plants in all regions, the Barec Group is now one of Switzerland's leading recycling companies. The Group employs 200 workers and is equipped with a state-of-the-art infrastructure in the recycling business.
The Barec Group works closely with industry, business and public authorities. It acts as a partner to steelworks, foundries and the paper and cardboard industry as well as being a successful player in international trade with secondary raw materials. The entire company is ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified and holds SWICO and SENS licenses. Safe and environmentally friendly disposal is the top priority in the mission statement of the dedicated family enterprise.
